First Line Manager Development Programme

Defining the Challenge:

Well trained First Line Managers are crucial to the success of any customer-focussed business. Our client required a behavioural change programme to give consistency in the skills and abilities of first line managers throughout the organisation.

Developing the Solution:

Sia has developed a programme designed to provide the First Line Managers with the knowledge and skills to lead high performing teams. The programme is structured to map to the client’s business dimensions, competencies and specifically identified training needs. It offers exciting, novel, fun, interesting, participative learning, that engages the participants, whilst enabling easy transfer of knowledge and skills back to the workplace. It has been divided into two modules and is now accredited by the ILM at Level 3:

1. Managing Self & 1:1 Relationships
2. Managing Others & the Business

The duration of each module is 4½ days and a team of internal trainers, trained by Sia consultants, deliver the programme.

Delivering the Results:

Sia have worked in close partnership with the client organisation on this project. Consistently excellent feedback from the participants has ensured this programme is in high demand from managers throughout the business. The ongoing success of this programme has meant that to date over 600 first line managers have benefited from attending it.

A team of Sia consultants are now working to design a similar programme aimed at the next management tier up.
