360° Reflector

360° Reflector feedback is the process of seeking behavioural feedback from a number of different perspectives. These perspectives are represented by different groups of people within the organisation, who assess, or rate, the individual in question on a number of behavioural competencies. The groups of raters most commonly used are Self, Manager, Peer and Direct Reports - other groups such as customers could also be included. The feedback from all the groups of raters, when taken together, provides the individual with an 'all-round' view of how he or she is perceived in the organisation and, as a result, a much clearer understanding of what improvements in behaviour may be required.

The use of 360° Reflector as a powerful management tool is increasing, as companies appreciate the benefits of this approach.

  • SIA Group designs and tailors the questionnaire to the client's specifications, using agreed competencies where they exist, drawing from our extensive database of questions, or using a combination of both.
  • We will ensure that everyone understands the concept and the procedures. In our experience this increases both the response rate and the quality of responses.
  • We collect and collate all the completed feedback. All responses come directly to us, and they remain confidential and anonymous.
  • We produce an individual report for each participant which is fed back in a one to one coaching session. Each report is tailored to the client's requirements, comparing the raters' feedback with the subject's own self rating and comments.
  • We encourage the participant, having digested the feedback, to produce a personal development plan or action plan to be discussed with his or her manager.

The key competencies measured in 360° Reflector work best when aligned to your organisations performance management framework and are therefore fully customisable. Key competencies you could include are:

  • People – the ability to network, build relationships and inspire colleagues.
  • Business – the ability to use company resource effectively, drive change and influence results.
  • Accountability – the willingness to take responsibility, be pro-active and achieve high standards.
  • Performance – the ability to set and achieve goals, drive the value chain to increase business output.
