Evaluation of ROI

The SIA Group approach to evaluating ROI is based loosely on the Kirkpatrick model for evaluation of training; however most emphasis is put on evaluating whether the training has made a lasting change in behaviour and performance at an individual and team level and whether this in turn has had an impact on organisational results. The advantages of this approach are that it provides evidence that development has a return on investment for the organisation. It also encourages all of the participants to see the programme not just as ‘learning for learning's sake' but as input that can make them more effective in their roles on a day-to-day basis.
