Influencing in a Matrix Organisation

Matrix working has become common in large complex organizations. This means that how we deal with the challenges of managing people within this complex form of organisation structure makes the difference between being successful or not. 

This programme will focus on the skills needed to manage the complexities associated with aligning multiple roles and objectives, influencing more than one boss and dealing with people in the matrix team.

• Identify the key factors you need to motivate, influence and persuade others – commitment versus compliance
• Understand the range of different influencing strategies and styles and how to use them
• Practice using positive influencing language and apply best practise techniques for using influencing and persuasion skills
• Understand and employ the principles of persuasion and learn how to use the persuasion triggers
• Influence and persuade in difficult situations and learn how to manage and resolve
• Learn the art of negotiation to unlock positions and reach agreement
